Who we are and what this covers
This policy covers the Hushmere Android application, package com.hushmere.app, this website at hushmere.org, and messages sent to our support email.

The Android app
The current release works without an account. Hushmere does not collect personal information from the app, transmit your listening history to us, or keep a server-side user profile.
The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, microphone, photos, or advertising identifier. It has no analytics, advertising, payment, social-login, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
All current soundscapes are bundled in the app and play offline. Hushmere does not sell personal information or use app activity for advertising. Google Play and Android may handle information separately under their own settings and policies; this policy describes Hushmere's processing.
Information stored on your phone
The app saves your selected scene, favorites, recent listening list, personal rituals, last selected sound, playback preferences, reduced-motion choice, and timer/session state in local app storage. This lets the app remember your choices and manage playback. It is not sent to Hushmere.
Local preferences remain until you change them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Hushmere disables Android app backup for this information.
- Clear recently played in Settings removes recent history without deleting favorites or rituals.
- Individual favorites and rituals can be removed in the app.
- Clearing Hushmere's storage in Android settings or uninstalling removes all local app information.
There is no Hushmere account to delete and no server-side app listening record to request.
Permissions and background playback
Media-playback foreground-service and wake-lock capabilities keep audio playing while the app is in the background or the screen is off, and provide Android media controls. Hushmere does not use them to identify or track you.
The app declares internet and network-state access for a possible future streamed collection. The current bundled library does not require a network connection to play. Before remote audio is introduced, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration to describe audio hosting and related connection information.
Visiting hushmere.org
The website itself contains no analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies, embedded audio/video players, or remote font requests. It does not ask you to sign in and does not store preferences in your browser.
Delivering a website still involves connection information. The hosting provider can process your IP address, requested page, browser and device information in request headers, request time, and security-related information to serve pages and protect the service.
Draft hosting detail: the hosting provider, its privacy information, enabled security services, and actual log-retention settings must be confirmed before deployment. We do not claim that hosting logs are absent.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, the message, and any files or details you choose to send. We use them to answer your question, investigate a reported issue, or handle a privacy request. Our email service provider processes the correspondence to deliver and store it.

Please do not send passwords, payment details, health records, or other sensitive information. Screenshots may contain personal information; remove anything you do not want to share.
Draft retention detail: a support-correspondence retention and deletion schedule must be confirmed before launch.
Support correspondence is separate from the app. Deleting the app does not delete an email you previously sent us; contact us if you want to request its deletion.
Children
Hushmere is a general wellbeing app, not a service designed specifically for children. The current app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should provide supervision appropriate to the child's age. Please contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information by email.
Your choices and requests
You can use the app offline and remove its local information yourself as described above. For information you send to support or that is processed through website hosting, you can contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other rights that apply under your local law.
We may need limited information to verify a request. Some records may need to be retained to meet a legal obligation or protect legal rights. We will explain any applicable limitation when responding.
Changes and contact
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. Features such as online audio, accounts, analytics, payments, or feedback forms require a fresh privacy review before release.
