Report a problem
A few details can help us understand what happened:
- Your Hushmere version, shown in Settings → About Hushmere.
- Phone model and Android version.
- The sound and steps involved, and what you expected to happen.
- Whether you were using the speaker, wired headphones, or Bluetooth.
- An optional screenshot with personal information removed.
We do not receive automatic app analytics or crash reports. Please describe the issue rather than assuming we can see what happened on your phone.
Common questions
I cannot hear a sound.
Check Android's media volume and the selected audio output. Start playback with the play button. Another app or a phone call may have taken audio focus. Try pausing and restarting, and check whether a timer has ended.
Playback stops when I leave the app.
Sound playback supports the background. Some phones restrict background activity or battery use. Check your device's app settings for Hushmere and any battery-saving mode. If it still stops, send us your phone model, Android version, and the steps involved.
Why does the breathing guide pause when the screen locks?
The guide is a visual foreground exercise and intentionally pauses when you leave it or lock the screen. Background sound is controlled separately and may keep playing. Return to the guide and tap Resume when ready.
My timer keeps counting down while the sound is paused.
An active timer follows elapsed clock time, including a playback pause. Open the timer and choose Turn off timer if you want to take a break without it expiring. Start playback before setting a new timer.
Why does a sound repeat?
The app uses compact loop recordings so the library stays small and works offline. A session can be longer than its recording. The selected timer controls when playback ends.
Can I mix several sounds or sync favorites between phones?
Not in the current release. Hushmere plays one sound at a time. Favorites and rituals stay on the phone where you save them.
How do I remove my local information?
Use Clear recently played in Settings for history only. Remove individual favorites or rituals in the app. Clear Hushmere's app storage in Android settings or uninstall to remove everything stored locally.
Privacy questions
Read our Privacy policy, or email [email protected] with “Hushmere privacy” in the subject. There is no app account or server-side listening profile to delete; local information can be removed on your phone.
